Many people have beautiful ideals. However, I believe that most people only hold on to their values until they are pressured. When situations get difficult, many (including myself) find a handy excuse to opt out on what was held to be good, true, and beautiful, for fear of pain, rejection, inconvenience and death. Below is a list of those who didn't surrender their values but fought for them at a great expense.
